This past fall, Montreal Gazette columnist Bill Brownstein had a book published with a whole little chapter on the Dead Doll Dancers!
Entitled, Montreal 24: Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a City, it celebrates a batch of the writers, musicians, restauranteurs and artists that make Montreal such a vibrant and interesting place to live.
On April 25th, Brownstein will be reading from his book at Blue Metropolis--a bilingual festival celebrating books and writers.
From the potty mouth of Velma Candyass:
"The Dead Dolls were interviewed by this writer awhile back and his book has since been launched. A whole chapter was written about us and the very special venue we perform at [Cafe Cleopatra!!]. Come on down to hear him and meet some of the personalites he has written about (including us !)."
Yep, that's right, some of the DDs will be on hand to schmooze!
